Train wrapping for a new generation of locomotive design
With the delivery of a new Vectron electric locomotive, a new design era begins for CargoServ. The locomotive was acquired from the European Locomotive Leasing Group (ELL) in December and is the first locomotive in the company’s new corporate design. For this project, modern train wrapping was chosen instead of traditional painting—a solution that offers both creative freedom and long-term protection for rail vehicles.
The professional train wrapping of the locomotive was carried out by railcaption, a proprietary brand of Pat & Patachon. With our experience in railway wrapping, we were able to transfer the new design precisely and durably onto the Vectron locomotive.
Modern train wrapping for the Vectron locomotive
The Siemens Vectron is one of the most modern locomotive platforms in Europe and has been used for international freight and passenger transport since 2010.
The locomotives are modular, powerful, and approved in many European countries—perfect conditions for international use in freight transport.
For the new locomotive, CargoServ’s appearance was to be modernized. The goal was a fresh look with high recognition value while maintaining the company’s well-known yellow color scheme. Through locomotive wrapping, this design could be precisely implemented.
