General Questions:
Pat & Patachon is not just any advertising technology company – we are your creative partner when it comes to strong brand appearances.
Whether it’s vehicle & train wrapping, illuminated advertising, design ideas or customized heat protection & furniture films: We make companies visible – high-quality, individual and with a lot of passion.
For over 20 years, we have stood for quality, reliable implementation and a team that thinks ahead. We serve customers throughout Germany – from regional craft businesses to Europe-wide fleets.
In short: Pat & Patachon is your go-to address when you want to stand out – but with style.
To use your logo optimally for vehicle lettering, illuminated advertising or printing, we need it in a high-resolution, professional format.
Ideal formats are:
-
Vector formats such as .EPS, .PDF or .AI (open, editable)
-
Alternatively, an .SVG (scalable, depending on the intended use)
If you only have a .JPG or .PNG, we’ll be happy to check if post-processing or vectorization is possible – just ask us.
The better the file quality, the better the result. And we want your logo to be not just visible, but unforgettable.
No – we generally don’t print on foils brought by customers.
Why? It’s simple: We work exclusively with certified materials that we know, test and can rely on for quality. This is the only way we can guarantee you a long-lasting, professional result – without any surprises.
Our foils are tailored for printing, processing and durability – and that’s exactly what you get from us: quality that lasts. Promised.
At Pat & Patachon, you don’t just get quality, but also a guarantee.
The exact warranty period depends on the product and its area of use:
-
Vehicle wrapping & protective films: up to 7 years warranty depending on the material manufacturer
-
Illuminated advertising systems & light boxes: with warranty or maintenance package on request
Important: We advise you before the project starts on what makes sense and is possible in your case – because we stand for solutions that are not only beautiful but also sustainable and reliable.
We love visitors – but preferably with an appointment.
Many of our colleagues are out on assignments, at installations or in customer meetings. To ensure your concern gets full attention, we recommend calling briefly in advance or sending an email. This way, we make sure the right contact persons have time for you – whether it’s about vehicle lettering, a new logo or an illuminated advertising system.
Spontaneous visits sometimes work – but planned is usually better. And more personal anyway.
Questions about Cars:
Car wrapping refers to the complete or partial wrapping of a vehicle with a special film. Unlike painting, no paint is applied – instead, a high-quality, self-adhesive film is applied to the bodywork.
This has many advantages:
Change color – without painting
Protect paint – from scratches, UV radiation & more
Make advertising visible – from logo to complete design
Removable without residue – ideal for leased vehicles
At Pat & Patachon, we turn your vehicle into a rolling brand ambassador – with films that stand out, last and suit you.
After a fresh paint job or repair, the rule is: patience pays off.
Before we can wrap or letter your vehicle, the paint must be fully cured – otherwise, adhesion problems or paint peeling may occur.
Our recommendation:
-
at least 21 days waiting time for conventional painting
-
for water-based or special painting processes, please consult again with the workshop – or with us!
You’re unsure? No problem – we’re happy to check the condition of your vehicle on-site. Because only if the surface is right, we can guarantee that your wrap will stick.
The short answer: It depends.
The long answer: The price for a vehicle wrap depends on several factors – e.g.:
-
Vehicle type and size
-
Type of wrap (e.g., standard color, effect wrap, protective film)
-
Partial or full wrap
-
Condition of the paint and preparation
As a rough guide:
-
Partial wrap (e.g., hood, roof) from approx. 250 €
-
Full wrap starts at about 1,600 €, depending on the effort
Best option: Send us some details by email or come by with your car, of course by appointment – then you’ll get a tailored offer that fits your vehicle and your ideas.
And the best part: With us, you don’t just get a wrap, but also advice, experience, and real craftsmanship.
The duration of a vehicle wrap depends on what exactly is being done – and how complex your design is.
For orientation:
Partial wraps (e.g., roof, hood, stripes): usually 1 day
Full wrap of a car: usually 2-3 working days
Complex advertising designs or fleet branding: can take longer depending on the scope – we’ll discuss this in detail with you beforehand.
Important: Preparation is everything – a cleaned, wax-free vehicle and preferably no fresh paint (see previous question) help to speed up the process.
And because quality is more important to us than rushing, we take the time it needs – so that your vehicle is not just wrapped, but perfectly wrapped in the end.
Yes – our wraps are car wash compatible!
If the wrap has been professionally applied (for example, by us 😉), you can have your car washed normally. The following applies:
✅ Textile car washes are particularly gentle
✅ Hand washing is always the best choice for maximum longevity
❌ High-pressure cleaners only with distance (at least 50 cm) and not directly on edges and borders
After wrapping, we recommend waiting at least 7 days before going for the first wash – so that the adhesive can fully cure.
And if you want to be on the safe side: We’ll be happy to give you some care tips after the installation. After all, your vehicle should not only be clean but also stay beautiful for a long time.
Yes and no – it depends entirely on the scope of your project.
We sometimes complete smaller lettering or partial wraps within a few hours – in this case, you can of course take a seat at our reception, have a coffee or quickly run an errand in the area.
For larger projects, such as a full wrap, it usually takes 1-3 working days – waiting would be rather uncomfortable.
Our tip: Just talk to us in advance. We’ll tell you honestly whether it’s worth waiting – or if it’s more convenient to arrange a second appointment for pickup.
And don’t worry: We’ll contact you immediately when your vehicle is ready – promise!
Questions about Advertising Systems:
With us, you get illuminated advertising with character – individually planned and perfectly tailored to your company.
Our possibilities:
Illuminated letters / profile letters – whether directly or backlit
Light boxes – single or double-sided, for facade or projecting sign
Pylons steles – free-standing eye-catchers with signal effect
Facade bands LED lines – for continuous lighting effect
Digital displays / LED walls – for moving content and maximum visibility
In short: If you want to shine – we know how.
Important questions in advance:
-
Where will the system be mounted? (Facade, free-standing, window?)
-
What power supply is available?
-
How large can the installation be – visually and legally?
-
Are there special requirements (e.g., monument protection, neighbors, building authority)?
Don’t worry: You don’t have to figure all this out on your own – that’s what you have us for. We advise you transparently and honestly – from the first spark to the last glow.
As a general rule: As soon as an advertising installation is permanently attached to a building or installed outdoors permanently, it may require approval.
This includes, among others:
Light boxes, profile letters, or tension frames mounted on the outside of the building
Pylons, steles, or freestanding advertising installations
Large-scale advertising banners or advertising installations above a certain square footage
Advertising in listed buildings or in certain zones with design requirements
But don’t worry: You don’t need to be a building authority expert – we’ll handle that for you.
Our team checks whether a simplified approval process, a notification, or a full building application is necessary. And if needed, we’ll also take care of the designs, structural analyses, and communication with the authorities.
Our goal: Your illuminated advertising should not only shine – but also stand on legally secure ground.
It depends – on size, construction type, and location.
For freestanding installations (such as pylons or large advertising towers), a structural analysis is usually required. For smaller installations (like light boxes on the facade), often not.
We’ll clarify this for you in advance – so you’re on the safe side and your installation will actually stand later. In the truest sense of the word.
Theoretically: yes.
Practically: We recommend having our professionals take the measurements. Why? Because with illuminated advertising, often every centimeter counts – be it for installation, power supply, or structural conditions.
Our technicians know exactly what matters:
Which dimensions are actually relevant for production mounting?
Where are power connections, substructures, or obstacles located?
What might need to be coordinated with the building authority or landlord in advance.
Correct measurements ensure that everything fits in the end – and you don’t experience any nasty surprises.
If you like, we can schedule an on-site appointment and clarify all the details for the perfect implementation of your illuminated advertising right away.
Because LED is simply the best solution – in terms of energy consumption, lifespan, and brightness.
LEDs are:
Efficient – lots of light with little electricity
Robust – hardly any maintenance, long lifespan
Flexibly applicable – from fine contours to large areas
And because we know which modules really last, you don’t get hardware store LEDs from us, but tested quality.
When it comes to illuminated advertising, it’s not just important how beautifully it shines, but also how brightly – because there are clear rules for outdoor installations.
For orientation:
In residential areas, the permissible limit is usually 10-20 lux, measured at eye level of the viewer
In commercial or mixed areas, it can be more – but consideration is also required here
Particularly bright installations (e.g., LED walls) often need official approval or an adapted dimming concept for the night.
What do the terms mean?
Lumen (lm): Total luminous flux – how much light is produced
Candela (cd): Luminous intensity in a specific direction
Lux (lx): Illuminance – how much light arrives
At Pat Patachon, we plan your installation as bright as allowed and as harmonious as necessary – including advice on legal requirements, dimming, and environmental compatibility.
In short: We make your logo shine – but without blinding neighbors or authorities
Yes – depending on the location and federal state, certain fire protection classes may be required for the materials used (e.g., flame-retardant according to DIN B1).
Don’t worry: We know the regulations and choose materials that suit your project and local requirements – without setting the roof on fire.
Even the best technology needs a little love sometimes.
LED modules last long, but dust, weather, and time take their toll.
That’s why we offer you:
Regular maintenance upon request
Replacement of defective modules
Cleaning and visual inspection
Optional 24/7 monitoring for larger installations
Because nothing is more annoying than a flickering “O” in the company logo.
Digital Signage is your digital advertising space with maximum flexibility:
- Display images, videos, texts, or daily offers
- Control content easily via software – even across multiple locations
- Ideal for retail, gastronomy, events, or information boards
We’re happy to advise you – from technology to content design. Because moving images move more.
